For those who do not wish to pay a monthly usage fee Wordtracker offers this free keyword suggestion tool! You can even add it to your browser. Whilst it does not have the same function as the commercial tool it does a reasonable job and anyone on a tight budget should add it to their SEO Toolbox.

Came across what seems to be an interesting contest involving linking to the Ad Alta Directory
You can link to the directory in a blog post, forum thread or post, from a site somewhere, the trick is to make the anchor text clever, inspiring or funny. The contest runs month about and the winner gets their site advertised on the livepr raketforskning website. Not a bad prize considering the traffic you could recieve from them.
Full details of the advertising contest here.

A new resource forum was opened yesterday for users, site owners and webmasters to interact with DMOZ editors. The forum is in no way linked or associated with the ODP, it is a resource that has been put together to allow editors to comment on submitted sites, categories and anything else that site owners and editors wish to talk about.
What the forum is hoping to provide is editor feedback and help to site owners regarding their Websites and submissions. Personally as a DMOZ editor myself I think this is a good thing as it not only helps site owners, it can actually help editors and DMOZ itself. Everyone likes site feedback, and if your trying to get a site into the ODP, the best feedback is from editors themselves.
Site owners will get valuable feedback on their sites so they can improve them for a listing in the ODP, and editors will be getting higher quality site submissions, it’s a win - win situation.
The forum runs very strict rules and for good reason too! Nobody wants to be spammed. I will be participating in this forum and keeping an eye on the progress and interest it sparks, so if you are looking for DMOZ editor feedback on your website, join up and post up your sites, if everyone works together this forum will be a valuable resource indeed.

DMOZ one of the biggest and oldest directories on the net today is always a hot topic at webmaster forums. You can find countless posts of how long does it take to get listed at dmoz, or DMOZ editors are corrupt. These are just a couple that always run hot at forums. Curt Monash posted an interesting blog answering some of the most repeatedly asked questions by webmasters and site owners regarding the state of DMOZ, editor corruption, site submission and editor application status.
