The tips given are very good and I couldn’t help but notice a common theme with them which seemed to focus on a directories submission page and the importance of making it as painless as possible for users to submit their sites to your directory.

Since recently kicking off my bid directory point 12 was of interest which talks about directory owners who raise bids themselves. I have often wondered if this was happening when I visited a few bid directories, and quite frankly just the thought of it put me off submitting my sites. If you are running a bid directory you will want to instill confidence in submitters that all bids on your directory are legitimate and build trust for your directory name and brand.
