Submitting Sites to SearchBuster
To assist our users with their site submissions we give an example of how to do this and how to avoid the pitfalls that may delay approval or at worst get your directory submission rejected.
Site Titles
Subpar submission services and SEO firms and even the ill-informed average webmaster will laden a site title with keywords. This is a surefire way to get alarm bells ringing in a directory editors head.
We do allow 1 -2 keywords in a site title provided the keywords used are in succinct theme with the site. Your site name from the URL should be in the title as well which can be seperated with “-” or “|”.

Editor discretion will prevail with titling sites, it may or may not be changed.
Site Descriptions
Although 90% of the time we will rewrite descriptions, if the description is not spammy and over promotional, written from an objective 3rd person view and describes what users will find at the site including features etc.. We will most likely only make minor changes.
Here are two examples of descriptions, one bad, one good, can you tell which is the good description?
Example 1: Add your site to Searchbuster Web Directory and build a base for your Link Building Campaigns.
Example 2: Lists internet resources sorted topically into general categories. Includes site research tools and Web development forums.
Don’t use capitals at the beginning of every word, you didn’t learn to do that at school did you? Why do it in directory submissions.
URL’s
When inputing the URL add a trailing slash “/” to the end of the URL.
Category Selection
Drill down and choose the closest category fit to your site theme. If there is not a category or you think there are a couple of categories your site fits, choose one, we will place it in the closest and correct fit or we will make a new category closer to the theme. We make categories as required, theres nothing worse than a directory with 2000 cats and no sites in them.
