How to embed a Window Media Player ?

I know how to embed a applet of java in Html page and to do this we have to give url of class file in <>applet tag . What to do if i want to embed Window Media Player ? Is it same thing and we can use <>applet tag to do so ?

No - the <embed> tag is no longer recognized as valid code as of 2 yrs ago.

no more <embed>?? isn't it the tag you will use to insert video in now?

You can use <embed> if you want, but the code doesn't validate anymore - however, there's a different method explained by W3C
