Default html tables vs Div tag ?

What is proper to design a page ? Till now i am using tables tables to put my stuff on the page but i have heard about DIV tags and there are going to be very popular these days . What are your opinions to use DIV tags instead of tables ?

Div <> are being used in CSS and tables are being used in simple html . Div Tags are good and a sophisticated way to put your stuff on a page . I think these are going to popular than tables soon .

the only thing about <div> is they might make your page layout go crazy. that is why you need a good CSS style. tables are almost out of fashion now, but i still use them. XD

Does it mean that it is a time to say a good bye to Tables ? I think i should also take some interest in DIV<> because i am hearing a lot about it .

Div tags and css are the best option as you do not need to worry about layout of your page if being built with css and div tags . While coding in CSS needs to described once and you can use it again and again . Sp after building your page in CSS and Div Tags you only have to worry about content to maintain your site . I can say it is a smart way to build websites .

oh i understand! instead of holding the layout by tables, you use div. your div must be positioned properly though - it gets hard to see when you don't know where it is!
