I really don't believe so. The job of a search engine is to gather up all of the information that is available on the internet and (here's the key) to return the top most relevant results. Yahoo! Answers is a mix of quantitative (measurable) answers as well as qualitative (subjective). For instance, I could post the question "What is 5 x 6?" and the first person that tells me the answer is 30 gets the points. However, Google can already give me that answer as well as 100 more websites. The power of Yahoo! Answers, I believe, is in the questions which seek qualitative answers - just as your question does. In this particular case there is no right or wrong answers just the theories and "wishful" thinking that contributors like myself can share. Ultimately, you decide what is the "best" answer is but that doesn't make it the absolute "right" answer which could just mean that Yahoo! may end up with a lot of bunk information with misleading answers.Like you I'm sure, I really hope that doesn't happen. I hope that it does collect useful, relevant information that we can search through easily to find the answers to the questions we ask.Only time can really tell what Yahoo! Answers will truly be. I wonder why Yahoo! has launched this website rather than focusing attention on the already established Ask Yahoo! Besides the look, wha's the difference?
